Base Camp Support Services and Emergency Response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita

Within 24 hours, ASSET deployed to respond to those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. ASSET provided generators, living supplies, potable water, and ablution services. Onsite labor was provided around the clock to ensure generators and facilities were operational, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, including holidays and weekends.

Overall, ASSET provided emergency response for FEMA in 30 locations. Despite many challenges, ASSET proved successful in providing all the necessary equipment and personnel, and received commendations for the outstanding work and cooperation with local, state and federal disaster teams as well as private organizations.
