ASSET served as prime contractor for the demolition of Building 2101, a 50-year old vehicle maintenance facility referred to as the “Sawtooth” Building. The project required extensive structural, electrical, mechanical and concrete demolition as well as utility line relocation. With Building 2101 and its surrounding buildings sharing common utility lines, ASSET relocated the underground electric, water and gas lines to three buildings.

ASSET installed a 75kVa transformer, a new 200 amp electrical panel, fuel pump shutdown and emergency stop fuel shutdown button at 50 feet from the above ground fuel tanks. Secondary feeders were provided to the above ground fuel tank pumps and routed to the fuel pump shutdown and then to the pump control box. A new distribution panel was then installed to the electrical J-Box located below the electrical panel feeding the temporary storage buildings west of Building 2101. Pole lights were then relocated to the north side of the building and re-fed from the new electrical panel. The wash bay 480 volt electrical service was relocated to the pad mounted transformer. The pad was demolished to relocate utilities and then re-poured with reinforcements.

The project was completed on time and with zero safety incidents.
