ASSET served as prime contractor for the design and construction of the Hangar Doors at Building 240. The new hangar doors were designed to look identical to the original doors for historical preservation, as Building 240 is as a classified historical facility. Because the high profile hangar had to remain functional and accessible to the user throughout the construction period, ASSET maintained constant communication with the Air Force so aircrafts could enter and exit the building when needed.

The project consisted of lead-based paint removal, demolition and installation of new structural steel, demolition and installation of new hangar doors, electrical upgrades, lighting installation in the high bay facility and drain relocation for flood prevention.

ASSET added a new custom fire system, mass notification system and safety cushions to the contract without delay and completed the project 106 days early without a single safety incident.

“[ASSET] performed a remarkable feat of construction, craftsmanship, professionalism and courteous customer service.”
