ASSET performed the assessment and remediation of mold in the air handling units and the associated supply and return registers for the Encinitas Campus for Scripps Hospital.
The cleaning of air handlers included: interior surfaces thoroughly brushed and vacuumed clean; all non-porous surfaces washed; coils coated with coil cleaner solution and pressure washed until blockages were eliminated; condensation pan brushed and washed; blowers and housings scraped and wire brushed to remove debris to ensure no detergent enters bearings; internal components of the air handler were sanitized; all wet insulation replaced and lined; and all return and supply grilles were washed.
